See light and color through the lens of ancient forms. fall 2023 or spring 2024 TBDColor, light, and form are such a dynamic part of visuals of Greece. We see this in ancient built structures as well as in natural land and water formations. They also have impact on the local culture—historic, agricultural, and the living of life. Experience a climate of light and form, observing and experiencing water, stone and structure in a fresh way. Witness ancient architectural forms, unique villages and mythological and symbolic imagery...sketching along the way Find inspiration in markets, doorways, and waters of areas in and around Athens, Tinos, and possibly Santorini. Expand drawing skills with sketching en plein air (on-site). This workshop is designed to facilitate discoveries for participants of all levels and all disciplines (drawing, painting, collage...other).

The itinerary is regularly being adjusted. I hope to update plans by summer of 2022.
We will start and finish in Athens, experience some historical and cultural sites, as well as the beauty of the area. We will spend time on a small island, getting closer to Greek folk history. Hotels will be more authentic Greek establishments rather than Americanized accommodations. I firmly believe this enriches the cultural experience. |

Informative site visits. Demonstrations on creative work, some discussion sessions, instruction during sketching times. Round trip group transportation from airport to hotel, ground transportation to/from scheduled sites, Meals: continental breakfast (fruit, toast, pastries, coffee, tea), a few scheduled group dinners.
