Aiming to enhance creative investigation, Monica has developed Destination Learning Opportunities. These art travels enable one to explore in an inspiring setting. For some, these workshops may simply be an oasis in the middle of a busy life, a chance to unwind and re-direct. For others, it will be a chance to waken dormant skills. We hope that it will be the impetus for ideas that continue to develop long after the event is over.
Relying on her decades of teaching experience, Monica Fogg sets up daily topics and challenges to help inspire and free the creative spirit. For those with much aesthetic experience, her teaching supports evolution of a personal voice or vision. For those with little experience, she guides past their messages of fear and limitation.
Each Destination Learning Opportunity is unique to its location.
Participants must be able to travel independently or bring a travel assistant.
2024 SPRING 2024
Holden Beach, NC
While relaxing by the Atlantic Ocean, learn how to build visual impact and excitement in your two-D work. Discussions will focus on Elements and Principles of Design in relation to basic pictorial composition. In painting/drawing sessions, inspired by Coastal North Carolina, participants can apply Elements and Principles while working in their medium of choice.
We've added an additional component! This is for any visual artist, no matter their medium OR whether they plan to attend the NC workshop. Join an informative series of four 1-1 1/2 hour zoom sessions on basics of composition, a stand alone opportunity to learn or review Elements and Principles of Design in relation to basic pictorial composition. This will be great information for ANY visual artist.
