In this 3-hour workshop, participants will explore relationships between the three dimensions of color - Hue, Value, and Chroma. We will discuss and create a Hue Circle (color wheel), multiiple scales (in hue, value, and chroma), and identify basic Color Chords. We will then identify and apply some basic Color Strategies. We will be busy! This introduction (or review) is designed to develop confidence in the use of color, to familiarize participants with the basics of color theory. While we will use a water-base medium for the exercises, the information is applicable to all media. Bring: open mind, a sense of adventure, supplies. (Supply list available through Wet Paint.) Prerequisites: NONE. This workshop is very appropriate for first time creators as well as those with previous experience. Each will benefit from individual attention and guidance. |
