.Concept Leave limitations behind, expand your creativity, and strengthen your personal point of view in this workshop focused on exploring the power of suggestion. Using fresh, wet watercolor, learn how to identify and capture only the most relevant characteristics of your chosen subject matter.
Experience Each morning begins with a series of exercises dedicated to loosening up, building confidence in your individual aesthetic and mark-making, and practicing different ways of seeing. Daily group discussions address overarching topics in painting, such as composition, while demonstrations and personalized instruction guide you through the practice and development of these skills in more finished paintings. All levels welcome.
Prerequisites: NONE. This workshop is very appropriate for first time creators as well as those with previous experience. Each will benefit from individual attention and guidance.

Bio Monica Fogg is an award-winning artist working in watercolor, encaustic, acrylic, woodcut, and lithography. Her personal work is inspired by images found in nature; distilled to form, movement, and essence. In addition to leading workshops and artist treks around the world, Monica teaches in the College of Design at the University of Minnesota. She holds a BA in Fine Art from Pincipia College, an MA in Painting from St. Cloud State University, and an MFA in Visual Studies from Clemson University.
